WARETOWN HISTORICAL SOCIETY MEETING MINUTES JUNE 17, 2024

Meeting Called To Order At 7:30
Flag Salute
Mini-program - We presented a video of the 1976 Bi-Centennial Parade in Waretown, NJ. Many past residents were seen in the video along with some of our current members.
Motion to accept the minutes of the previous meeting: John Pu, Seconded June M
Treasurer's Report: Flag Program Income $3,375. All Bills are paid on time. John Pu, Seconded June M
Memorials and Membership: We have 88 regular members and 120 lifetime members. We presented a plaque to Jeanne B for all the years of service and dedication.
Correspondence: We received a thank you letter from the Southern Regional School District for our Scholarship.
Program Committee Report: Ron T reported on the summer Friday schedule. The entire schedule is posted on our website under the heading Events New.
Music in the Park - all is set up except for the face painting and balloons. Aidan is still looking into it. The museum will be open during the concert. Flyers are going to be distributed around town prior to September.
John Pu donated a permanent outside American Flag to the schoolhouse.
Electrician is scheduled for July 3rd.
We sang Happy Birthday to Aidan O.
Flag Program Report: Everything is going along great.
Aidan O is going to look into the society selling small American flags to citizens.
John PU made a motion to adjourn, June M. seconded. Meeting was adjourned.
