The Waretown Historical Society is proud to announce that we are officially reopened to the public following a seven-month closure for extensive renovations and the construction of our new building. This exciting new chapter brings a significantly more spacious and thoughtfully designed museum. The improved layout allows visitors to experience our collections and exhibits in a clearer, more comfortable, and more engaging way. Among the highlights of our renovated space is the new Birdsall Executive Corner, a dedicated area recognizing leadership and legacy within the Society. Outdoors, visitors will find newly enhanced landscaping, including a welcoming patio area with surround sound designed for relaxation and community gatherings. We are especially excited to introduce our new “Hands-On History” exhibit, an interactive space created to engage visitors of all ages and bring local history to life in a meaningful and memorable way. We invite the community and visitors alike to come explore the new museum and celebrate this exciting milestone with us.

We have new signage out front explaining more about the history of Waretown. This project was made possible by a Grant from the New Jersey Historical Commission, a division of the Department of State, and administered by the Ocean County Cultural and Heritage Commission.
